Our News

What music did I listen to this week?:

When I visited restaurants and clubs in the city center, I heard a lot of Bad Bunny, Karol G, and J Balvin. The songs I heard the most were "Ritmo" by J Blavin, "Tusa" by Karol G, and "Safaera" by Bad Bunny.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I had such a fun time trying out electric scooters, so I've included a picture of my boyfriend riding one while we were exploring Parque de Retiro, which is one of the largest parks in Madrid. They have a beautiful crystal building called Palacio de Cristal, or "the Crystal Palace" in English. I also loved exploring different parts of Madrid, such as Malasaña and Salamana. Malasaña is the main shopping district in Madrid, where you can find stores like Zara and H&M. Salamanca is also a shopping district, but it's much fancier, so you can find high end stores like Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Although I couldn't afford any designer items in Salamanca, I did find an Ikea store and got a fuzzy blanket and had some sushi, which is a pretty rare find in Madrid.

What did I read this week?:

I had so much fun exploring during my first week that I didn't read anything at all in terms of books. However, I found a sign for a street with a funny name called Calle de Bizchocos Horneados, which translates to Street of Baked Cakes!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I've never been a sports person, but I did run a little bit up and down a steep hill because I thought it would be fun. Then I tried going down the steep hill on an electric scooter... I do not reccomend trying it!
