Welcome to my Journey in Iceland!

Throughout my two years at Illinois Wesleyan University, almost all of my environmental classes have mentioned ways that Iceland has advanced to accommodate climate change. For example, Iceland powers about 90% of its nation’s central heating from geothermal sources and 70% of its electricity from hydropower. As someone studying in the environmental field, I thought it would be very valuable for me to take my education to Iceland.

While in Iceland, I will be studying at the School for International Training in their "Iceland: Climate Change and the Arctic" program. I will take a total of four diffent classes while I am abroad. Some topics that I plan to study include carbon management, climate modeling and Arctic climate protection.

I hope this gave you what you need as an overview to my journey in Iceland! I can't wait to share this experience with all of you!
