The public transport here is just like in any other big city. However, I believe that the way people act on the the transport is highly reflective of the U.K. culture. Everyone is very community-oriented, here, and this affects my own behavior when taking public transportation. For instance, when I am on the bus, I have learned to always think about people who are less mobile than me. I therefore usually head to the top of the bus; or if I am on the main level of the bus, I offer up my seat to anyone with a buggy (stroller) or who just needs the seat more than I do.
