Farewell!

María did not have all the resources to continue her research in Guatemala. By this time, I knew that it was my turn to help others, just like my mentors had helped me. I began to work with María to think of a way she could get a scholarship and apply to a good university.  After all, everyone deserves a chance! Maria's goal was to continue her studies and show the world her talent and passion. I think that helping María was the ultimate gift of my journey.

When you finish one journey in life, other journeys open up. Sometimes you help other people find their journeys. Sometimes a journey is about being yourself, opening up, and learning from others around you. Sometimes, the journey is a lesson in patience, and not rushing. Guatemala taught me many things. I hope that my stories helped you think about your journey in life. Wherever you are and wherever you go, take your curiosity with you! Whatever the circumstances, you must keep on learning about yourself and your fellow human beings! Good luck, and have fun!
