An open mic is an event where anyone can take turns going up onstage to speak, sing, or perform for the audience. At this event, I ordered a Moroccan beef brochette for the first time. This meal is like meatballs on skewers, and it was served with couscous and a spicy sauce called harissa. I also had a beet smoothie.
During the open mic, we listened to many people perform. One person invited everyone to sing a famous Moroccan song called "Lamma Bada Yatathana." Later, someone else asked the whole room to sing the Birthday Song in Arabic for their friend.
It was a fun and lively evening, and a great way to experience Fes.
