Traveling around Northern Germany!

I also visited the famous statue of the Bremen Town Musicians, which are from a fairy tale set in Bremen (https://www.bremen.eu/tale-of-the-bremen-town-musicians). The statue was much smaller than I had expected! I went to their festival area, which looks much like a normal fair in the U.S., with rollercoasters and spinning rides!

I was able to eat a very classic German delicacy from my friend's favorite stand, which is a fresh sausage served on an absolutely tiny dinner roll! These treats make for great quick and cheap meals, but are always a little comedic to my eyes when I see them! We put some Senf (mustard) on them and they warmed me right up! They were also selling Lebkuchenherzen, which are a type of heart-shaped cookie made out of a fluffy gingerbread. These are sold at every festival and people typically wear them like a necklace and are exchanged between partners, as flowers would be.

Until the next journey!
