To get to our field work sites, we took a Toyota Hilux since we would need its 4x4 capabilities. We crossed streams and took a very barebones unpaved road to get to the site. Hiluxes are famous here for their durability and dependability, and many mining companies use them for their (even more remote) work. I would have loved to drive it, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to drive at all during Peace Corps service. In fact, I have barely driven at all in the past four years!
