If you get to chatting with the driver, you often hear stories about the city, new places to visit or their day. It’s one of the best ways to see and feel Chennai up close.
The most interesting place I visited this week was a little unexpected... the car wash! I went with my uncle and watched as the car was lifted high above the ground so it could be cleaned underneath. That’s something you don’t usually see in the U.S., so it was really fun to watch. Even simple practices can feel exciting when they’re done differently in another country.
Next week, I’m heading to Delhi for a conference where I’ll present my research. I’m really excited to share my work and learn from people from all over the country. I can’t wait to explore the food and sights and to meet new people while I’m there. I’ll share all of it with you in my next post!
Thank you so much for following along on my journey, Aisha, Melissa and Jayson!
