Aside from Riga, one of my class field trips took me to the heart of Nørrebro (lit. North Bridge), a district in Copenhagen (I live in Amager Øst) that is known for its multicultural character and, unfortunately and occasionally, poverty and crime (not high levels of either, overall, but explaining the situation there takes more time than I have here).
