Hi everyone! My name is Talulah Freed, and I am a senior at the University of Denver. I am 21 and my birthday is on Halloween! I am majoring in Art History and have minors in History and Geography. I love learning about people and places! I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is a large and diverse city known for its amazing food, easy access to the mountains, and annual hot air balloon festival.
This semester, I am studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France. I decided to come to the South of France because it is home to many amazing artworks I have learned about in school, and it has a long and fascinating history. Because I am a senior this year, I will need to work on my art history thesis, which will be about medieval French tapestries. I hope to improve my French language skills while I am here as well!
I am grateful to be a recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which provides funding and opportunities for everyone to study abroad. I can't wait to learn more about French culture and share my experience with all of you!
