Switzerland, France and Italy: A Tour Through Europe

My parents and sister had a whole trip around Switzerland planned, but unfortunately I had to get back to work, so I left on Monday with my friend.

My friend and I made a pit-stop in Milan and Florence, had some lunch, and walked around enjoying beautiful sunny day. We returned to Siena for a week where I had the best time showing her all around my city and going out to parties with my friends here! It was fun acting like a translator for her, because she can understand Italian pretty well, but has a hard time speaking it. After a lot of Italian food, walks around the city and a few gelati, we went to Rome for one night to visit one of her old co-workers. We had one last delicious dinner, and she left from Rome the next day back to Philadelphia.

I had two days in Siena to study and pack before leaving for Paris! What a whirlwind of a week or two! My parents were still traveling around Europe, so they met me in Paris. Since my mother is a history professor, we had to visit a few famous museums and see paintings from Van Gogh, Manet, Degas and more. Although we explored around a bit the first day or two, I was a little nervous because I was taking the MCAT on Friday (the entrance test for medical school); but Friday came and went, and I felt the test went well ( I don't get my score back for another month). As a treat for finishing my exam, my parents and I went to see the Eiffel Tower. The rest of the trip was like a dream, and we had classic French pastries (macarons, éclairs and croissants). We visited the Louvre and had delicious steak frites (steaks and french fries). I said goodbye to my parents and returned to Siena on Sunday.
