A Day in My Life in Taiwan

We also heard that you are learning about water conservation, so I thought we should show you how we use water at school here. It's a bit different than how we use water at schools in the United States! First of all, the water dispensers at Taiwanese schools have three different temperature options. Some people use the hot water option to brew tea throughout the school day. We also have a turtle and fish pond on our campus, and we use water to grow plants. We are growing lettuce right now! Finally, we have sinks outside of every classroom as well as in the bathrooms. Students and teachers use these sinks to wash their hands throughout the day and to wash their utensils after lunch.

What do you think of our daily schedule here? Are you surprised that students have cleaning duty, or that we have an afternoon nap? I look forward to learning about your school days, too. See you next time!
