Traveler Bio

Сайн уу! (Hello!) My name is Sophia, and I’m reporting from my newest adventure in Mongolia! I am 22 years old, and I grew up in Florida, in a smaller city by the sea called St. Petersburg.

I have spent the last four years of my life in New York City for college, where I played tennis and studied many different subjects, like economics and political science!

When I’m not playing tennis, I have many other hobbies I enjoy! I have been reading a lot of books, trying new recipes (this week is carrot cake cinnamon rolls!), and learning new languages. For example, I have been learning Mongolian for my trip here.

Learning a new language has been hard, but I can see myself getting better and better, and now that I’m here in Mongolia, I know it will help me make new friends with the people here! One of the best parts of traveling is making friends all around the world. These people can teach us new games, foods, stories, and so much more that we wouldn’t know without them.

I’m so happy you all are here on this adventure with me! Together we are going to explore Mongolia, make new friends, and learn new things. We’re headed to the steppe!
