Small Town, Big World!

Giving back is a value of mine. You never know when you will need support from your community, so it is important to invest your time into helping people. That is why I decided to share my experience with you all through Reach the World.

When I’m not working or studying, I have fun hobbies! I love sitting by the river with a snack and a book, and I have a giant houseplant collection that my grandma is babysitting for me right now. But one hobby I always wanted more of? Traveling. And that’s exactly why I packed my bags for Italy.

Italy is an amazing place, with a history that goes back thousands of years. You might have heard of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the ruins of Pompeii, or the beautiful city of Venice floating on water. Italian people are also known for their relaxed lifestyle, referred to as dolce far niente, which means “the sweetness of doing nothing.” People here take time to enjoy little moments, such as a coffee with friends or an extra long lunch break during the day. Back home, I was always rushing around, so I’m excited to learn this slower, more peaceful way of living.

Studying abroad isn’t just about seeing cool places, it’s about sharing cultures. When we learn from each other, we discover new ideas for how to live, work, and dream. My hope is that my journey inspires you to stay curious about the world. Who knows, someday you might be the one hopping on a plane for an adventure of your own!
