Motos, Horses, Buses and More— Transportation in Colombia

Although it took some getting used to, I now feel confident navigating the bus system. I’m able to just listen to music or sleep, so it’s nice that it’s much more hands-off compared to driving myself;

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

The different means of transport are connected to the environment. This is most clear in the use of motorcycles, jeeps and horses. Most of the roads in the campo (countryside) near my town are not paved. They can get very muddy and sometimes even go through small creeks or rocks. That means that it would be very difficult for a normal car. In comparison, motos, horses and Jeeps are better designed to pass through these obstacles, so they are more reliable.
