Some days were exciting and adventurous, while other days were difficult or overwhelming, especially while adjusting to a completely different environment. But those challenges became some of the most important parts of the journey because they helped me learn more about both Zambia and myself.
I also feel incredibly lucky that I was able to connect with all of you throughout this experience. Knowing that there was a classroom following along with my journey made every experience feel even more meaningful. I always looked forward to sharing updates and thinking about what might interest or surprise you most. I hope these exchanges encouraged you to stay curious about the world, ask questions and learn about places and people outside of your own community.
Although the Reach the World program is ending, my time in Zambia is not over yet. I will still be here until November, continuing my Fulbright experience, exploring new places, meeting new people and learning more every day. Because of that, Mrs. Rose may still share occasional updates, photos or stories from my time here so you can continue following along a little longer.
Thank you all so much for being part of this journey with me. Your curiosity, kindness, and support truly meant a lot, and I will always remember being able to share this chapter of my life with your class.
