Fast forward a few years, and little did I know that my dream of traveling the world was going to slowly start to take shape, as I embarked on an adventure in China for a year through an organization called AFS. During my time in China, I met some life-long friends and learned to speak Mandarin. My trip to China was the first of a series of multiple opportunities that have now taken me to over 40+ countries around the world.
One such opportunity is the journey that I am embarking on this year. I have been doing a tour around the world for the past few months including to Europe, Canada, India and Southeast Asia. This trip has been really rewarding, and I have had some really beautiful experiences.
While I will mostly be focusing on my time in Canada with you all, I will also try to include a few things here and there from my other trips, so that you can all learn and get excited about our world and the amazing things that it offers!
Be prepared to get excited to learn more about my time learning French in the beautiful city of Quebec City in Canada, as well as the cool things people do in various places around the world.
Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for take-off! We are in for an adventure!
Fun fact: Did you know that if you work for an airline, one of the benefits is free flights? Well, I didn’t know until I had the opportunity to work for United Airlines after graduating from Carleton College. It was an amazing opportunity which allowed me to visit the bulk of the countries I have been to. Also, another perk of airline work is that you get to work with some great people from all around the world!
