Hi there! Welcome to your go-to webpage for all things Australian! My name is Miss Sarai, and for the next few months, I will be sharing with you special facts and photos from "The Land Down-Under" as we learn about and explore some of Australia's greatest adventures together.
For now, I will give you a bit of information about myself, and perhaps share a secret or two. See if you can point out the facts I haven't told anyone else! I was born in Port Huron, Michigan, and grew tired of living right on the lake my whole life. So, I went to college in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains, where the nearest city was an hour away through twisting and winding mountain roads. To entertain ourselves on the weekends, my friends and I would fill our backpacks with tents, sleeping bags, and s'mores, and we would hike up the local mountain to camp out at the very top.
During college, I fell in love with science. For Halloween, I dressed up as my favorite scientist, and I spent much of my free time in the lab. I would study frogs, mice, and chicks. Since graduating from college, I have been awarded a Fulbright scholarship to conduct research in a lab in Melbourne, Australia. In Australia, I will be studying a cure for breast cancer. Yet this isn't the only thing I plan to do. Australia is known for its surfing, strange animals, and beautiful cliffs to climb. So perhaps you might catch me outside of the lab, once in a while. Well, that's all for now. Cheers!
