My Day Trip to Magical Glendalough, County Wicklow

The ruins of a cathedral, or the central church where the bishop would stay
Tourists like us can still walk in and around the ruined cathedral
The Celtic cross, which has a ring around the typical cross shape, has decorated Irish graves since the Middle Ages
What do you think this tower was used for? (Hint: it has space to store both supplies and people)
St. Kevin's Church was nicknamed "Kitchen" because its tower looked like a kitchen chimney
After checking out the ruins, we headed up into the hills, where light barely crept through the trees!
Ireland is usually very rainy, but we got lucky with the weather for our day trip!
A glacier carved out the valley, river and lakes of Glendalough ("Valley of Two Lakes" in Irish) during the last ice age, many thousands of years ago
