Salvador - Kids Edition

Introduction:

I volunteer to teach English at a community center. There, I interviewed a young boy and asked him about his daily life.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast I eat bread, juice café com leite (coffee with milk). For lunch macarrão (spaghetti) and feijão (beans). For dinner I have café again.

What is your house like?:

It's a house with one floor. It's a little big and it's white and pink.

What chores do you have at home?:

I have to wash the dishes, clean the dog and tidy up my toys.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My father works in security.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

School is from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM which differs from schools in the U.S. where children as young as six have school for seven to eight hours.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I take the ônibus with my mommy.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

I eat lunch at home and I love spaghetti and hot dogs.
