Hi! My name is Sadie Nichols (she/her). I was born in Nashville, TN, and grew up in Portland, OR. In my free time, I enjoy reading contemporary literary fiction, exploring new cities, and finding historic and independent cinemas (of which Portland has many).
I am currently a senior at Georgetown University, where I study Government and Philosophy. While studying abroad, I am taking coursework on EU Foreign and Security Policy, Democracies at Risk in Europe, Arctic Geopolitics, Danish Language and Culture, and Religion in Crisis.
I ultimately hope to pursue a career in law and policy. I decided to study abroad in Europe to expand my understanding of international affairs, as I have previously focused on Latin America, the Middle East, and East Asia.
In addition to my time in Denmark, I will travel with my EU Foreign and Security Policy Class to Northern Germany and Warsaw, Poland. I look forward to sharing my experience and reflections on immersing myself in Danish culture and gaining a better understanding of the European political landscape.
