Transportation in Galicia

Over time you start to recognize the people that take the same routes as you, and I've had some really nice conversations with the people that ride the same bus with me every morning.

I think that the importance of walking also leads to a more interconnected community, along with a healthier one. I think a lot about how older people in the United States can feel very isolated once they no longer can drive around or it becomes difficult to drive. In A Coruna, there are so many public locations like restaurants and parks provides a communal space that is accessible by walking for people who otherwise couldn't drive. Similarly, its very easy to take a train or a bus to another town, which allows people to be able to travel and pursue interests to a degree that could be difficult in other places without a car.
