In Bolivia, there are 26 official languages, but the three biggest languages are Spanish, Quechua, and Aymara. In Cochabamba, there is much more Spanish and Quechua (which was the language of the Incas) than any other language.
In Bolivia, we use bolivianos. There are about seven bolivianos in a dollar!
A bottle of water costs about five bolivianos, which 72 cents!
The best meal I had this week is called sil pancho. Bolivian food is usually includes meat, rice, and potatoes. Sil pancho has a basis of grilled potatoes and rice, and on top there's a big piece of breaded beef with two sunny-side up eggs and some onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños. So good!
Carnival in Cochabamba features a mix between pop music and folkloric, or traditional, music. So I've listened to "Taki taki" a lot and a folkloric song that needs a full band, from trumpet to drums!
