Life as a Kid in Gbrumani

What is your homework like?:

The teacher writes homework questions on the board. We copy them down in our notebooks, go home and have to find the answers in our textbooks or class notes. 

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

I help my mother prepare dinner, get water and take care of my siblings. Sometimes I will go and watch my classmates play futbol (soccer). I like going to the dam with my friends to get water. Sometimes I will also go and help at the farm. My favorite sport is futbol. I go and play with the girls before school on Fridays. I also love to dance with my friends. At night sometimes people will play drums and we all go to dance. 

Who is your favorite famous person?:

My favorite famous person is Kwame Nkrumah. He was the first president of Ghana. 

What kinds of music do you listen to?:

My favorite singer is Fancy Gaddam. I love all of his songs and music. I like listening to Dagbani singers and drummers. 

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

I want to be a nurse. 

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?:

I want to go to America.

What do you know or think about the United States?:

There are lots of nurses in America and Ghana. I want to be a nurse in both America and Ghana.
