Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for your questions... I will try to answer all of them! I have been having so much fun reading about all of you and thinking more about the place I am in as I try to respond to your questions!
On the topic of foods and living here:
I really like ice cream! I know it is a bit controversial, but I really like mint chocolate chip ice cream! But I truly like all flavors, and when I feel a little homesick, I buy myself Ben and Jerry's ice cream, specifically 'Americone Dream'!
When I am not eating ice cream, I have kept myself busy with the University choir and through swing dancing. In the choir, we sang "Baa Baa Black Sheep" as a vocal warmup— but the words were all in German! They call the song "Brüder Jacob" and although the tune is the same, the words are different. I also have been going swing dancing (see photo) which has enabled me to connect with new people without having to speak the same language perfectly!
