Traveler Bio

Hola (Hello)! My name is Rayan, and I am a student at Northwestern University studying Neuroscience on the pre-medical track. I am studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where I am learning Arabic and researching health equity. I was born in the United States and grew up in Morocco for four years, where I experienced Moroccan culture and learned the language. Growing up between Morocco and the United States has given me a perspective on different communities and made me interested in learning about people and their experiences. I am really excited to learn more about European culture and minority communities in Europe, a continent I’ve never visited before.

My career goal is to help improve health equity and conduct research on communities and their needs. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing soccer, running, spending time with my family and friends, traveling and meeting new people.

I hope to introduce you to different aspects of my life and experiences while also learning about your lives and communities. I can’t wait to begin this journey with you all!
