Hello fellow Kingfisher kids!
I hope that your winter break was restful, and that exam season is not getting anyone too stressed out. For this week, I wanted to dip a little bit into some literature—a topic that may be closer to home for us all. We are meeting over an English class, after all!
Your instructor told me at the beginning of the year that you all will have a focus on personal narratives during your curriculum, which I think is awesome. Personal narratives are a magical way to more deeply understand someone else’s (or even your own!) worldview, no matter how different your backgrounds may be. By stepping into the words and viewpoints of someone else, we can each make our own perspectives more vibrant and beautiful. Each work of writing is like a part of the infinite human experience, the expansive universe, taken and imprinted in ink for all to enjoy. (I like to think that’s why we call written works “pieces.”)
