Oxi Day

Even though it was a smaller country and was considerably weaker, this act reminded those in Greece to stay strong in the face of dark times. So much so that across the country, Greek citizens took to the streets and shouted oxi as they marched in protest to foreign invasion!

The parade itself symbolizes the freedom of Greece through its showcase of the Greek flag, along with chants sung by citizens of all ages that speak to the strength and resilient nature of Greek independence!

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

This celebration is not necessarily connected to the environment but instead serves as a reminder to Greeks around the world to stand up for what is right! Today, it teaches both children and adults that even when a challenge seems too big, courage and unity can make a difference.
