It was such a refreshing and fun way to reset and prepare for the week ahead.
I've currently been reading a book called The Book of Joy. It is a book about a conversation between the Dalai Lama and Archibishop Desmon Tutu. I love this book because it talks about focusing in on our similarities as human beings, compassion, and the importance of choosing joy every single day.
This week, along with my students, I played many games and sports. As it is currently football season for the primary schools, I played or coached football everyday. We had an official tournament on Tuesday for both the boys and girls teams, and have the second part this upcoming Tuesday.
I also coached volleyball this week and played a lot of games with the lower division in PE. One of the favorite games thus far has bean a game called "Beans". It's a fun and easy game the younger students love. I call out a certain type of bean such as string bean, jumping bean, jelly bean, or crazy bean, and they have to act it out.
No other news from this past week, but I have three birthdays next week for my host parents' grandkids. They are turning 8, 5 and 1! I will have lots of parties and piñatas coming up this next week, which I am looking forward to.
