I read, or attempted to read, maps and menus across the city. Few places offered an English version, but we mainly relied on the photos for guidance. I did not have any WiFi during my stay, so we normally could not use Google Translate either.
No sports this week!
I was surprised by how much American food I saw there. There were McDonald's, Dominos, Wendy's and Burger Kings on every other block. Every restaurant I visited had french fries and the potato smiley faces from grade school, as well as other foods we are used to back home.
