National Institutes of Health Summer Internship Program – This is an award for students who wish to participate in research at one of the NIHs campuses during a summer of their undergraduate studies. P.S. The NIH also has opportunities for high school students!
DAAD Rise – This is an award for students who wish to participate in a research project in Germany for a summer during their undergraduate studies!
ORISE/ORAU – These are opportunities to participate in a federally funded project that focuses on a wide range of issues, ranging from national security to biomedical research. There is a lot here, so check it out if you are interested!
So that I don't overwhelm you, I will stop here! But as you can see, there are a lot of really cool experiences that are ready to be had. One thing to keep in mind is that once you get one of these awards, it is always easier to get the next one!
