The Czech Republic, including Prague, is full of hills and a number of protected nature reserves and national parks. Its government has a Ministry of Environment that works on conservation (protecting the environment), including in 27 protected areas. The ministry was created in 1990 and works to protect waterways, the air, rocks and more. In addition, it monitors mining activity and farming, and it makes sure zoos are running smoothly. Also, stores in Prague sell a lot of “Bio” food (organic food, which is grown without man-made chemicals, like pesticides and fertilizers), and there are a couple of stores that sell only Bio food.
Something really interesting about the Czech Republic is that the country is surrounded by mountains on most sides, creating natural borders! Additionally, about 17% of the country is protected national parks, and the Czech Republic has some of the most well-marked hiking trails in Europe. The climate, especially in the past couple of years, has become very temperate (in the middle); the winters don't get very cold, and the summers don't get unbearably hot.
