Pão de queijo, feijoada, and fresh açaí bowls have become regular parts of my week. Back home in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, I love exploring new neighborhoods and meeting new people, and I look forward to doing this here as well. I also fly airplanes on the weekends, and although I don't yet speak Portuguese fluently, I hope to get into the cockpit here and see Brazil from above.
It’s been exciting to settle into life here, walking along Avenida Atlântica on my way to class, seeing how different the buildings and public spaces look compared to L.A., and just getting to know the rhythm of the city. I’m looking forward to sharing more of what life in Rio is like with all of you!
