Hello, Dia Dhuit! My Name is Nomi Smith. I am a writer and artist currently living and studying Creative Writing in Cork, Ireland. Ireland is a gorgeous country, rich in a culture of storytelling and folklore.
I have been thrilled with the generosity of Irish people when it comes to sharing their stories and history, and would be delighted to pass them on to you!
In my journey here, I will be studying the Irish language and culture while collecting my own stories. Growing up in Kentucky, storytelling and magic in nature were very important to me. Being in a new place, uncovering new geographies and translations, I have the privilege of both discovering the magic in Ireland and reflecting on the magic that I carry from the woods and creek where I grew up.
I hope you will enjoy following along with me as I visit castles, abandoned Abbeys, cliffs, and festivals.
Céad Míle Fáilte (A hundred thousand welcomes)!
