It's about time the school year ends in the US, so I'll be wrapping up my journey here. It's been a pleasure writing these articles and sharing my experience with the class, and it's made me think more about how I view my experience and daily life here in Japan compared to back home. Because of the differences in how the school year works (US starts in August/September, Japan starts in April), I still have a few more months here before I return to the US. Although I won't be able to share that experience here, I foresee it being as enriching and interesting as it has been thus far.

On my journey, I've met so many interesting people that I've been able to become friends with. My school here is an international school, so it attracts people from all over the world. This means I've made friends with people from all sorts of different countries, including France, Turkey, South Korea and China. I've also made many different Japanese friends, both in school and outside of school. I expect these friendships to last when I return to the US and into the future, and I am grateful for the opportunities they have provided me with.

I've also been able to explore many cultural differences, especially traditions and foods.
