It is now spring, and I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. I have been living in Poland since the beginning of October, and I will stay until the end of June. That feels like a long time, but it is also flying by!
Living here has been such a fun and special experience. One of my favorite parts has been being in the classroom with students like you. Every day, I get to talk, laugh and learn together with my classes. Even when we make mistakes, we keep trying. This is exactly how we grow. I love seeing students become more confident each week. It reminds me that learning a new language takes courage, and they are all so brave for trying.
Life in Poland is a little different from life in the United States, and that is what makes it exciting. I have tried new foods, learned new words and explored new places. I have walked through old streets, ridden on trains to new cities, and met people from all over the world. Some days feel new and a little scary. However, those are often the days I learn the most about myself and the world around me.
Even though I still have a few months left here, I already know I will miss this place and the lessons it has taught me.
