How is life in Luxembourg different from life in the United States? How is it similar? As you read, be sure to note if anything is the same as in your life and jot down when it is different! What would you ask a Luxembourger if you were given the chance? What do you already know about the Luxembourgish school system?
“I usually eat a croissant with some tea for breakfast. For lunch, it’s usually chicken and rice or pasta, and for dinner, usually a soup or meat of some kind.”
“I live in an apartment with my parents and siblings. I have my own room.” Because it is such a small country, lots of Luxembourgers live in apartments, or “flats.”
“I do my own laundry and the dishes. Our family also each has a space in the flat, like a room or a corner, that they are responsible for keeping clean.”
“My mom is a private chef at a company and my dad is a delivery driver for a flower shop. It’s pretty cool. We get lots of free flowers.”
