Have you ever wondered if you have something in common with children across the ocean? In this article, I interviewed my students and they answered the questions that you might have! I wanted to share this opportunity with all my students, so throughout the article, I will provide their answers and, in parentheses, include the translations for the students who answered in Mandarin. If there are no parentheses around an English sentence, my student wrote it all in English! Another note, these students are taught to give short, to-the-point answers, so many of these answers will be shorter than you might be used to. I hope you enjoy reading about what the students are like in Taiwan, and maybe you can learn something new.
早餐店 (Breakfast Shop)。 (In these shops, they sell a lot of breakfast sandwiches, milk tea and easy foods to take on the go!).
魯肉飯、營養午餐 麥當勞 (Braised pork rice, nutritious lunch at McDonald's)。
公寓 (Apartment)。 (Many people live in apartments in Taipei. It allows for more housing and accommodates the large population).
