Meet Eason

Introduction:

Today, we are going to meet with one of my fourth-grade students to learn all about life growing up in Taiwan. His name is Eason, and he is so excited to talk to you about his favorite things.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

One of Eason's favorite breakfast foods is a type of egg pancake called dan bing. It is made from eggs and green onions, and it is fried on a big hot pan. He buys it at a breakfast shop.

For lunch, Eason eats at school. School lunch has meat, grains, vegetables, soup and fruit. Today, Eason had steamed fish, rice, baby bok choy, corn soup and a banana.

For dinner, Eason told me he likes to eat pizza! You can actually buy pizza from popular American stores, like Pizza Hut and Dominos. Here, they also have special flavors, like seafood pizza!

What is your house like?:

Eason lives in an apartment with his parents and little brother. He shares a room with his brother. Their apartment has a living room, two bathrooms and a kitchen. They also have a special balcony where they dry clothes because apartments here usually do not have a dryer. Instead, you wash all of your clothes and hang them up to dry!

What chores do you have at home?:

Eason is in charge of doing the dishes. He also has to keep his room clean, so he and his brother work together to do that.
