It's Always Hump Day in Morocco!

Introduction:

I traveled to Morocco for 3 days in March and I loved every minute! It's very different from the USA and Italy, so I learned a lot about this new culture. I spotted camels within the first hour of being in the country! Then, my friends and I spent $35 to go into the Agafay Desert, ride ATVs, ride camels and watch a fire show after dinner. The highlight of that night was the camel ride!

What does this creature or plant look like?:

The camel I rode was really big—way taller than me! It had long, skinny legs and a big round hump on its back. Its fur was light brown, almost like the sand. It had a long neck and a cute face with big eyes and a nose that could close up when it was windy. Its eyelashes were super long, like little brushes, and its feet were wide and flat to help it walk on the soft desert sand without sinking.

How did I feel when I saw it?:

When I first saw the camel, I was really excited and a little bit scared. It was so tall, and I wondered how I would get up there. But I was also very curious. I had never seen a real camel before, only in pictures or books. My heart was beating fast, but in a happy way. I had been on a horse before, but I knew this was going to be different. When the camel sat down and I climbed on, I felt like I was on a great big adventure!
