Well, my hundred days in Australia are nearly complete. I've spent a lot of time in Sydney, and I also got to visit Fiji, Melbourne, Tasmania and New Zealand! For this post, all of the pictures are from my New Zealand trip. I was there for 9 days, which is why this post is delayed. I'm sorry for the wait! No matter where I went, I made sure that every day was filled with new adventures, like learning Bachata, exploring Indigenous cuture, seeing new animals and finding the best coastal walk in Sydney. I made cool friends, like Asya and Isha. I had two homestays, which allowed me to meet local Australians really easily. In short, I think my study abroad adventure has been awesome!
I am so grateful to be able to have this experience. I didn't always think it was possible, and I owe many thanks to the Gilman Scholarship, Tulane Office of Study Abroad, and my friends and family. I've developed my sense of independence so much since I got here. I've also learned a lot about a whole new culture. I even got to go to one of the best universities in the world! One of my biggest takeaways has been the importance of exploring and making the most of every day. I think it's really easy to grow comfortable in a routine, especially in our hometowns.
