¡Hola! I hope you are ready to explore one of the most interesting states in Mexico together. Oaxaca is a place I've visited many times before. I love it so much, I've invited friends and family to occasionally travel with me, and now it is a place they love too!
Traveling is an incredible privilege, and the experience of diving deep into a culture and community brings me new inspiration, information and appreciation for the wonderful diversity of people, lifestyles and landscapes around the world. I especially love to travel in Spanish speaking countries. I think these are some of my favorite places to go, partly because I was born in El Paso, a city that is growing rapidly with a blend of Mexican, Texan and New Mexican cultures. There are a lot of Spanish speaking families in El Paso, and you can find some of the most authentic Mexican food in the entire U.S.A., there. El Paso sits in the very furthest corner of west Texas, so if you drive in any direction, you might suddenly find yourself the other side of the Mexican border. I grew up going grocery shopping on a regular basis with my abuelita on the Mexican side of the border . Have I mentioned that half of my family heritage is Mexican?!
