Hi classroom, it's April, that means this is my last month here in Peru. I have so many mixed emotions. I am so happy and joyful for the time I am able to spend here, but I am also sadden to leave this beautiful country. I am excited to hug all my friends and family again, and of course my little black kitty named Ebony (meow!). I will also be graduating college from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in May, and I am so excited for this next chapter!

In the past three months of living in Huanchaco, I've been able to do, see and learn so much. I am especially thankful for my host family, the McCallums. Their home is always full of energy and they have been so kind, welcoming and fun to live with.

While in Huanchaco, I've gotten so used to beach walks, surfing and enjoying great food. I have laso been able to travel to amazing places such as Machu Picchu, Lake Humantay, Ica, Paracas and Lima.

As I wrap up at my internship with Hands On Peru, I realize how much I have learned. Working at the clinic has taught me about the human body, different diseases and has helped me improve my Spanish. I have gained so much knowledge about health and medicine through this experience.
