How was the weather this week?: Since the start of October, it's been pretty chilly and rains often here. It feels like winter has started already! It's very beautiful here, though, because you can see the fog lying low on the river when you look out from the castle.
What animals did I see this week? : I saw lots of birds, like pigeons, ducks and swans. There are also a few outdoor cats around the city, so it's always fun to see them.
What was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week?: There are trees here that we don't have in the United States! They're called "plane trees," and they have scaly bark. These trees are also very large, so they give off great shade in the parks.
Other Nature News from this week: At the Pumpkin Festival (called "Kürbisausstellung," kour-bis-aus-shtell-unk, literally meaning pumpkin exhibit), people displayed lots of different sculptures of pumpkins, as well as different varieties of pumpkins.
