The weather this week has been beautiful! When I walk to work in the morning, the sky is still dark and the temperature is in the 40's, but by the time I leave work at 1:50 p.m., it is sunny outside with temperatures in the 60's! I enjoy the brisk mornings and evenings with warmer afternoons. Sometimes in the morning or at night it rains, but not often. During my first month here, it has only rained four times!
Since I am in the city, I don’t see many animals other than birds. Every day, I see many pigeons on the sidewalks. Other than birds, the most common animals I see are dogs being walked!
The coolest things I saw in nature this week were grape vineyards and olive trees on the outskirts of the city! It was amazing to see how many vineyards and fields contribute to the region's largest exports, which are wine and olive oil! It was also interesting to see how grapes and olives grow in nature!
