We have had a slight cool front, lowering the temperature into the 70s, making the weather quite nice! It is still generally very warm though, San Miguel is considered the hottest city in the country.
Dogs and cats! There are a lot of strays. I also saw fish in a pet store and domestic birds. In the city, there is not a wide variety of animals to see unless you include the spider in the corner of my office that is always taunting me.
The moon was exceptionally bright the other night. With few clouds in the sky, it shone at its fullest. Its light illuminated the entire courtyard of the house.
I learned from a backpacker that you can see smoke emitting from Chaparrastique Volcano. If you go to the rim, you can smell the sulfur dioxide. I plan to see this myself soon!
