I passed lots of families making their way and had fun listending to music and admiring everything. Eventually the hike ended in the ruins of a hermit colony built into the rocks and caves of hills called the Barátlokások. Now mostly broken down, they once were living cells, a chapel and even a dining hall used during the 14th century.
Look at this cool beetle I saw on my hike in Tihany! When I looked it up online, I learned that is it a Trypocopris vernalis, better known as a spring dor beetle. It is a type of dung beetle that is found in Europe and Asia Minor.
