It's finally starting to cool off in New Delhi! Right now is considered winter. It's averaging about 50-55 degrees Fahrenheit during the days here, but getting chilly at night. Since many homes don't have insulation or central heating, we have heaters in our rooms and recently purchased thicker bedding to stay warm at night.
Despite the cold, it's been so beautiful and sunny this week! It's still very dry, so these days it's either hazy and foggy or perfectly beautiful and sunny.
This week, I'm back in Delhi so I'm not seeing a lot of nature. I am seeing the usual suspects though! This means I'm seeing a lot of squirrels, peacocks, monkeys and dogs. There are many stray dogs in India that live in the streets— I see the same few on my block nearly every day.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was on my rooftop garden. While this isn't technically "in" nature, it's my little slice of greenery at home. My landlord has a serious green thumb, and all of the plants are grown on the roof, right outside our front door.
