Unfortunately, not very far! I was in the Stockholm area mainly, but went to the northern part of the city for the Mall of Scandinavia. It is the biggest mall in the Scandinavian region!
I have traveled very far! I am around 4,000 miles away from the USA. I also traveled all the way to the Arctic Circle in Northern Sweden to see the Northern Lights!
I mainly used the bus and subway systems in Stockholm.
I went to a restaurant/cafe that has a big eating area in a greenhouse! It was very warm and cozy and a nice place to relax from the cold!
While navigating the snowy streets of Stockholm, you will notice a big difference from the US. Rather than using traditional rock salt to melt the ice and snow, Sweden spreads sand and gravel. This is meant to reduce the enviromental impact of traditional salt. However, while the gravel and sand help to increase traction or grip on the snow, it does nothing to help melt it!
