The weather in Rio this week was warm, with some rain at night. Most days were partly cloudy, but it still felt like summer, with plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors.
This week I saw all kinds of animals, lots of birds, a koi fish and even a monkey. While hiking at Pedra Bonita, I spotted this anteater-looking animal wandering around, which was such a cool surprise!
The coolest thing I saw this week was the bamboo grove on my campus. The plants are so tall that I can't see the top of them when I'm standing next to them, and walking through them feels calm and quiet, even though you’re still in the middle of Rio.
